Casa
Junior Kindergarten
3 – 5 years
The Casa classroom provides a calm, child-centred Montessori learning environment where children are encouraged to choose meaningful activities and become increasingly responsible for their own learning. Children are given freedom within a structured and carefully prepared environment, helping them become confident and capable learners who are ready for kindergarten and beyond.

What Your Child Will Experience
In the Casa, children experience a prepared environment where every material has a purpose and every choice builds independence.
- Kindergarten readiness through structured, hands-on learning
- Growing independence in self-care and classroom responsibility
- Confidence built through mastery of real skills
- Responsibility for their own learning and environment
- Hands-on Montessori learning with concrete materials
- Concrete concepts progressing naturally toward abstract thinking
- Practical life skills — food preparation, cleaning, caring for plants
- Children learning at their own pace, free from comparison
- Freedom within a structured, carefully prepared environment
What Your Child Will Learn
The Casa curriculum spans five interconnected areas that support the whole child.
- Early literacy — phonics, writing, and reading readiness
- Early numeracy — quantity, operations, and mathematical thinking
- Social development — cooperation, empathy, and community
- Problem-solving and critical thinking
- Creativity through art, music, and imaginative expression
- Confidence and responsibility for oneself and others
The Montessori Approach
A method built on observing the child
In the Casa, children are given freedom within a structured and carefully prepared environment. They choose their own work from materials on open shelves, work at their own pace for uninterrupted periods, and learn in mixed-age groupings where older children naturally mentor younger ones. Educators observe each child closely and introduce new materials at the moment of readiness — never too early, never too late. The result is a child who is not just ready for kindergarten, but ready to learn for life.
